‘Aquino Aims for a Strike-less Era’ – SCW Warns

Rosario, Cavite – Solidarity of Cavite Workers (SCW) warned workers, especially unionists, that the Aquino Administration may be trying to conclude his full six-year term as president free from workers strikes.

Merly Grafe, SCW Chairperson – an alliance of workers and unions in Cavite, said, “PNoy’s first success in clipping worker’ right strike came at the expense of Philippine Airlines Employees Association (PALEA) where the he (PNoy) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) barred them from staging a strike by engaging them into a dialogue favored PAL management after DOLE gave green light to the outsourcing scheme of the management.” (Read Full Article)
